RPM TUTORIAL

This Tutorial will guide you through the steps to get all set up with RPM (Race Points Manager) and syncronizing your RPM Profile with your Player Profile in NR2003. The most important thing to remember is that A) You use your Real Name where you enter your First and Last name and 2) Your First and Last name matches your First and Last name in your NR2003 Player Profile exactly. If you can do that there should be no problem. If they don't match, all your results and points will go to that strange fella named "Unknown Driver" as my days of manually editing the results are over with the publishing of this tutorial.

NOTE: Your Registration with HCR is not complete until you have done every step in this tutorial AND created a "Player Profile" in your NR2003 Game that matches the information on your RPM Profile.
 
STEP 1: RPM HEADQUARTERS - In the websites main menu, click on "RPM Headquarters" to get started.

 

 

 

You will then see the screen below.

 

 

 

STEP 2: REGISTER First you will need to register with RPM. Click "Register." The screen below will come up in a seperate window.

While you must fill in all the information, lets go over the real important stuff and some of the things that sometimes cause people problems.

A: This is your user name. It is used to login to RPM along with your password. A lot of folks just use the same name here as they use to register with the site and the forums. It really doesn't matter. You can use a nickname or your real name here. It really doesn't matter.

B: Enter your password in both of these boxes. Your Username and Password are "Case Sensitive". At this time, I don't think RPM emails any kind of confirmation of your registration so be sure to write down you Username and Password EXACTLY as you enetered them here.

C: Enter your REAL FIRST AND LAST NAME HERE. We ask that you use you real name for simplicity and uniformity. Also, please capitalize the first letter in your First and Last name. Your name is a proper name and it is tacky to have it in all lower case.

D: Enter a valid email address here in which you can be reached.

E: The "seeking a team" part of header here seems to confuse some but ignore it. Just check the box in the league(s) you wish to participate in. You must check at least one box and can choose them all if you like.

Once you have all the information entered, type in the "Security String" and click the "Sign Up" button. You have now completed your RPM Registration. You will not be able to do any more with RPM at this time. Once your "New Driver Application" is approved, we will then approve your RPM account also. You will then be able to procede with the next step.

 

 

 

STEP 3: EDIT PROFILE - You will receive and email once your "New Driver Application" and RPM account is approved. Then you need to return to hcr-simracing.com and enter RPM Headquarters once again, and then clicking "Edit Profile."

 

 

 

After you click "Edit Profile" you will see the following login screen.

Enter your Username and Password here EXACTLY as your entered it when you registered. After you click "Login" a popup window will appear with just the "Menu" box on the left of the image below. First, click on "Driver Profile."

You will noctice that the information that you entered when you registered will already be filled in. If you made a mistake along the way, you can make corrections here. Just remember, your First and Last Name here must match your First and Last Name in your NR2003 Player Profile. You can also add some additional information here such as Birthdate, Favorite Driver, a short Biography, and you can upload a picture of yourself that will appear on your Personal Profile Page. Once you finish entering information here, click on A: "Series." You will see the following window with a "Click here to edit details" B: prompt for each series. Click the prompt for the series information you would like to enter.
The window will then change to the following window.
 

Here you can enter the sponsors on you car paints, the team you drive for, the make of your car and most importantly Your Car Number. You were awarded a number when your Driver Application was approved. You MUST enter that number here.

NOTE: Your Registration with HCR is not complete until you have done every step in this tutorial AND created a "Player Profile" in your NR2003 Game that matches the information on your RPM Profile.
