Here's how the HCRT Chase will work. After 15 races (Bristol) we will determine the number of drivers that will make the chase. One third of the the total drivers in the series at that time will make the chase but no more than 10 and no less than 5 drivers. The number of drivers will be rounded to the nearest whole. The chase will consist of the last 5 races.
After the North Carolina race on October 5, 2009 the chase drivers will be determined and their point totals will be adjusted. Each driver will be given a base point total of 4500 points plus 10 bonus points for each race they have won to this point. Scoring during the chase will be the same as the regular season. Drivers not in the chase will compete for the HCRT Consolation Championship. |
