DROC SPECIFIC RULES: These rules are based on the real IROC rules.
- QUALIFYING
- Qualifying will be lotto start.
- The race administor will skip the qualifying session at the end of practice and you can look under "Qualifying Standings" to see where you will start the race.
- COMPETITION YELLOW
(CY)
- There will be one CY each race.
- The CY is the only caution period in which a driver may pit without receiving a one lap penalty.
- During the CY, every driver MUST pit and take 4 tires.
- The CY will normally take place around the 55-60% portion of the race. The lap # of the CY will be announced before the race.
- For every caution period before the CY, 2 laps will be added to the CY lap up to a total of 10 laps.
- EXAMPLE: The CY is scheduled for lap 50. A caution comes out on lap 22. The race administator will then announce the new lap in which the CY will be. 52. The CY will occur no later than lap 60.
- ORDINARY YELLOW
- If a driver pits under a caution other than the CY he will receive a one lap penalty.
- Please stay in the pits until the field has lapped you so the Race Admin does not have to deduct your lap. It saves a lot of confusion and allows you to line up on the inside on the restart.
- NO LUCKY DOG
- There is no LD in DROC racing. When the yellow flies (CY included) race to the line. HCR "Race to the Line" rules apply.
